Date: 2008-03-31 06:34 pm (UTC)1st Lt. John Sheppard has just had to assume the command of HMS Atlantis, a small frigate currently sailing the South Pacific and out of contact with Home, after his commander was killed by pirates. The commander's widow and a small collection of naturalists, headed by Rodney McKay (a professor from Edinburgh) are also on board, some with wives, and the ship is dangerously low on stores. He has to deal with a crew who doesn't know him, as he stepped aboard very recently, the academics, several groups of pirates and dangerously low stores.
And Rodney.
