Dentist visit

My mouth is a mess, as I said. They spent about a half hour taking a full series of x-rays, and then I got cleaned.

I have chips, breaks, an entire top of tooth missing plus cavities. I was also told to brush "aggressively" and with a *medium* toothbrush. Which I had to buy because dentists only get free soft toothbrushes. And special rinse which should be the last thing in my mouth at night.

I go back next week.

I'm going to see a lot of him for the foreseeable future.

Great sympathy, and hopes for the best possible dental experience. I've spent much of the last year getting my neglected teeth sorted out and repaired, and despite my aversion to dentistry, I'm so glad I did.

I sympathize -- if I had the money, I'd be settling in for a solid year+ worth of serious dental work myself.

I didn't like the haughty dentist I saw today. He is one of them that gives the impression that anyone who hasn't had perfect dental care for whatever reason you are a bad person.

Every hear that thousand of dollars for dental procedures may not always be available.

Anywho, my tooth is abe to be saved with a filling which I get tomorrow.

Oh, that's so painful! And so, sadly, good that I'm not alone. :P Having the work done now, before you get all the complexities I've gotten of having teeth extracted because of infections.

...and reminds me, I need to call Alison, my dental student, to schedule up something PDQ. I'd like to have teeth by, say, my birthday in Feb...or at least, before Concertino! Thanks for the reminder.
