The siren has sounded

I am showered. Food is in the oven (beef stew for dinner; chicken legs for lunch). The lights are set. Coffee is made, hot water urn is filled. Candles are waiting.

In five minutes, it will be Shabbat.

The siren is quite real. We have two - we get an eight-minute warning.
