In a week that began with the Bones/House one-two punch, and apparently continued with more regular/recurring character deaths - a year of season finales similar to the one ten years ago when we lost Blair and Angel - there was this episode.

Where no regular or recurring character died. Where some loose ends were tied off, and others showed promise to do so, and where some bad things ended and some good things started (and couple of bad things - George/Lexie? NO!) and when it was finished, there were no real cliffhangers, just anticipation.

And the season ended as much a medical show as a soap opera.

Well done, Shonda.
