Pesach II

Today, I purchased shelf paper, burner covers, tape and fridge and oven liners. I'm apparently getting handmade matzo from my landlady. I think that I'm emptying the fridge and freezer on Saturday night, and Sunday, my kitchen will be cleaned out and lined, and then all I need to do is kasher my soup pot, and then kasher the stove and oven. We'll be eating pesadich next week if all goes well.

Wednesday, we'll get the blankets and quilt cleaned. Thursday we'll finish up and do bedikat chometz that night, and I'll spend Friday cooking soup and stew and fish and kugel and shabbos. Sometime between then and now, I'll need to figure out menus and shop for the perishables.

And I *will* have pizza for lunch that Friday. Like the rest of the universe. :)

There's a vegan pizza place in walking distance from us that I'm convinced does its best business the day before Pesach starts.

We just finished arranging for the person who cleans our place to do the final cleaning on Thursday next. Between then and now we have more work to do than I want to think about, but at least I'm now spending more time every day vertical than horizontal, so it might actually happen.

Oh, who am I kidding. It will happen. Just probably not with much grace or style.
