I ran out of my blood pressure med, a diuretic, a week and a half ago. I had to see my doctor to get a new prescription, which I had filled yesterday. (BTW, bp with no meds? 140/90, which seriously isn't bad.)

I took the very tiny pill last night just before going to sleep, as I've done for the past couple of years. Except that I hadn't gone without for ten days before.

I was up every 90 minutes like clockwork.

Tonight, I take it when I get home from work. And presumably things'll be back to normal in a couple more days.

Yep. When I miss, even a day, and get back on it, it does the same thing.

Hmm. I've only not taken it when I was very ill or on major fast days - days when I didn't want to risk dehydration. Because of that, I guess I wouldn't have had that effect.

The Boyfriend, if he takes his BP med at the wrong time of day, ends up with that exact same problem.

[livejournal.com profile] jonbaker, who is on a much stronger diuretic (mine is very mild), has to time his taking very carefully - so long before dinner, and taking things like travel time into consideration.
