Re the flagging

1. Not especially happy with the idea that *others* can flag my material. Not happy at all. Even less happy that I won't be notified.

2. Not going to turn *this* journal or my fic journal permanently adult or explicit. Will flag individual entries on an ad-hoc basis according to *my* definitions of the terms.

The definitions of "adult concepts" and "explicit adult content" are so vague that I feel I have to mark my journal as explicit adult content just to be safe - how do I know if what I've written comes under the category of 'adult concepts' or 'explicit adult content' or is okay for kids to read?

Everything is vague and subjective. And that is just asking for trouble.

Oh, yes. Very, very much.

You know, I do police my journal. Anything I consider to be adult, I post in a filter I am sure contains only adults. But this is my decision.

I have guidelines in my head, which I will not be making public except for one thing - I will treat same sex *exactly* the same as het. I don't think that two males (or females, for that matter) kissing is any more/less adult than m/f kisses.

In some ways, it's easier for me because I happen to rarely use "adult" language or violence.

*sigh* I've heard so much "adult" language from 7 and 8 year olds that I really wonder why anybody bothers.
