I truly wish this surprised me. (Check out chopchica and kita0610 for a bit more on this. Also, ladycat777 has what to say.

On the other hand, I'm *glad* I'm not surprised at the response. Something ugly turned up in the past few weeks, but discussion? Is a good thing all the way around.
