Happy birthday to me. I'm *this* many old. <Holds out thirty eight fingers.>
Busy, busy day. Got up early to go to a bar mitzvah in a synagogue wth a vastly different liturgy. Got very confused because they did familiar things in unfamiliar places or didn't do them or did strange things of their own.
The neat thing was that, confused though I was, I never got totally lost.
On the other hand, we sat behind one way glass in the women's gallery, which is something I do not understand. Oh, well.
Went to the bar mitzvah boy's house for a crowded, noisy lunch. That was also fun.
The day ended by us taking my brother out on our joint birthday. Grilled trout. Yummy.
