The kids don't want it. My brother-in-law just bought a small farm of his own, my sister-in-law lives in Israel and we can't spend more than a week or so out there at a time.
The problem is that this house is miles from anywhere, so they absolutely need to have a car. They're currently thinking about buying a used car and leaving it there, going up and back by bus. This is assuming either will ever be permitted to drive again.
But, if they can't drive, they can't be up there alone.
There's no hurry - they own that house free and clear. We'll go up in a few weeks with them, help them get the place ready for the winter and take stuff they'll need back, and wait until spring before making any other decision.
