A free week because of the recent outtage.

My take -
1. I have a permanent account, so I'm getting infinity + 1 week. Whee.
2. I had no idea there had been any sort of outtage, given that half of it was on Shabbat (I miss the Great Outtage a couple of years ago for that reason. I'm not complaining.) and the rest on an extremely busy Sunday, what with a funeral and a housefilk and general birthday celebrations going on. I knew things were a tad wonky, but that was it.

So I'm not getting compensated for an event that didn't inconvenience me. All right.

Is it right for me to feel miffed that they aren't offering anything to free users? Yes, I don't pay, but then things like the outage (and how Six Apart is running things in general) are not likely to make me want to pay.

Ah, but you can show your miffedness by continuing to not pay for your account, or switching to the ad-based service, and therefore not giving them additional revenue.
