Taken from[livejournal.com profile] blueraccoon:

What distinguishes my writing from the next author? How do you know something is mine? I'm not looking for flattery or compliments here (they're always nice, but it's not what I'm looking for). If you were to read a set of writing samples, how would you distinguish mine from the other authors, if you even could?

Some authors, both pro and fan, have the quality of "brand name", to an extent. You know that when you're going to read a story by this author it has certain qualities. If that's the case with my fic, what qualities do you know you're going to find in one of my stories?

I'm really curious here. Anyone?

Reading through your stories, you tend to have almost a contemplative mood in your writing. I'm not sure how else to phrase it, but your writing tends to put the reader in a quiet frame of mind and the plot just seems to slot gently into place.

What comes to mind are compassion, and grace. Your characters are alwas drawn with a gompassionate gaze, and they live in their worlds well. I'm phrasing it awkwardly, but you like your people, and it shows.
