I like sunshowers. Not everyone does - [livejournal.com profile] jonbaker doesn't. It's a contradiction that makes some people feel odd.

I like the contradiction - I like the contrast of big, cool drops of water under muggy, cloudy/sunny skies, of squinting in sunlight as rain pings on the top of your coffee cup.

I walked home from the bakery in such a sunshower, and all I could do was smile.

That was something to get used to when I moved to Colorado. Sunshowers are frequent here, because our storm cells tend to be smaller and more compact than e.g. the big systems on the east coast where it rains EVERYWHERE.

Also, we have more rainbows.

I love sunshowers. They make me feel alive.
