If you had me alone, locked up in your house for twenty-four hours and I had to do whatever you wanted me to, what would you have me do? All comments will be permanently screened because it's a secret. Then repost this in your LJ. You might be surprised with the responses you get.

Probably teach me how to cook some of the things you've posted about here. Other than that, talk about stuff? Hang out? Possibly explain some of the stranger laws of kashrut. I'd make all of this totally optional on your part, as I'm really not into the whole "you must do this" thing. :)

Can we lock you up in YOUR house so we can cook together? :)

Since I don't keep kosher, I wouldn't invite you to my house; that would be rude, since you wouldn't be able to eat or drink anything. However, if I could meet you, I'd want to talk and get to know you better.

Porn. Food porn that is.

I think, and we are going to play pretend that the kitchen to my house had been previously professionally kasherd, because other wise that's way more than 24 hours right there?

I would have you cook for me. And show me how to make some of the foods you are always talking about.

I'm so DREADFULLY respectable.

Err, decent port, roasted walnuts, good apples, a nice fire if in season and our pick of the shelves?

I know. Terribly unexciting, but it DOES sound awfully pleasant. You can schedule me for after the more strenuous commenters have had their goes. :)

It sounds perfectly lovely. I'd pass on the port, but bring a lovely bottle of vintage Cabernet Sauvignon.

Since I teach Night in my freshman English class (for many years), I have always wanted to know more about the jewish faith and all of the mysterious things that I have no idea about. Honestly, it was one of the reasons I friended you. So I'd have you go over everything and let me ask all my stupid questions, probably more than once.

Hmmm . . . A tasty, low glycemic-index Shabbos dinner for Morgan and me would be nice, but you would probably want to Kosher my kitchen, and I doubt you could manage THAT in 24 hours.

First of all, I would talk to you - and, of course, listen to you. I believe there would be lots of storytelling.
And I couldn't let you go without food for such a long time, so I would have to cook you some excellent meals. I would have to learn to cook kosher food, of course.

That sounds like *fun*. We'll just imagine all kitchens where I am held are kosher.

And I'd cook for you. :)

I'd offer you tea, and we'd discuss children's books, and I'd go through my comics collection and see if there was anything you'd find amusing or entertaining. We might watch some early West Wing too.

My usual plan with overseas friends is to take them to the city and show them Melbourne, but this meme seems to imply that you're meant to stay locked up. *shrug* Stuff the meme, even I don't want to spend 24 hours in my flat without a break for exercise. We'd go do tourist things, then end up at St Kilda or Elsternwick, where the kosher restaurants are, for dinner.

You might end up with a loan of a pile of Australian/NZ young adult and detective novels and have to send them back by mail. I don't have nearly enough fannish people to talk Kerry Greenwood, Tessa Duder or Catherine Jinx with.

At the most coercive, I might try to force you to decide for me which of my to-read pile I should start next. I'm not really the captor type - I have rats for that. Yoghurt says she wants out, by the way.

I'd say cook me dinner, except that I have a definitively non-kosher kitchen and it wouldn't be fair to make you cook stuff that you couldn't taste or eat. So I'd probably make you beta a bunch of my old stories.

We'll pretend everyone's kitchen is magically kosher, and then I would cook you dinner.

This may sound odd, but I think that I would like you to describe some of the rituals behind your faith. I'm not very familiar with the Jewish faith nor the terms you use, so I think that would be very interesting and that I would learn alot.
