Shoe update

Way back in November, I posted about ordering new shoes.

They never arrived. UPS bounced at my house three times (only once with a notice) and they were sent back.

When I called Easy Spirit in December, they were so swamped that all I could do was wait on hold. I did get a refund.

Today, I called them. The shoes I wanted were A. still in stock and B. even less money. Which is, of course, a score. The boots, however, were not in stock in my size.

I'm getting the shoes (sent to my office, thank you) on Monday.

I'll look around for boots. I need to measure my calves.

(Oh, and I'm not sure how I did it, but my *other* ankle is now hurting. Worse than the sprained one. Shopping was exhausting.)

Good news about the shoes! Good luck finding good new boots that work for you.

That's happened to my good knee, too; the good side has to work harder to compensate for the bad side. Hope it feels better soon!

Yeah - it's sore and swollen, but doesn't feel sprained. And I know the difference.

Unfortunately, I have far too much to do today - my husband is running a "retreat" this Shabbos, and we have an overnight guest and another guest for lunch, and I'm helping out for the discussions. I can't stay off it.

Have you tried Torrid.com? Torrid's boots are cut bigger in the calf.

I'm so far out of Torrid's demographic that I didn't even think to look there, so thanks!

*Goes to look.*

Their knee-high boots are not leather and have three inch heels. Ah, well.

Well, darn. Keep looking though, because the styles rotate fairly quickly and I got a couple pair of not-heeled boots when I worked there long and long ago. *G*
