My yuletide story is up. It's beautiful.

It's based on France Hodgson Burnett's A Little Princess, and it's called Dear Friends and Ruin. The pairing is Ralph Crewe/Tom Carrisford (the Indian Gentleman) and it's just lovely.

I feel remarkably privileged that the story I requested is so brilliant and beautiful and *right*. I think it was the story that so many of us wanted to read, those of us who have read and loved the original book, and here it is exactly as it must have happened.

And the writer did such a masterful job of writing that, as you can see above, people who didn't know the source also liked it.
