Well. I checked my little poll.
And you people really like Alan Rickman, don't you?
I am so very, very surprised. Oh, yes. I am shocked. Shocked, I tell you.
(And honestly, I love Colonel Brandon, too.)
And to the three who said they didn't know who these people are, especially the one young woman I know just started college - Jane Austen. Wonderful writer. Or Ang Lee. Wonderful director.
The books are free on The Gutenberg Project.
Just saying.
Okay, if I write the story, it'll be an AU where Elinor marries the dear Colonel. Will that satisfy you? :)

Date: 2005-12-01 05:13 pm (UTC)Seriously--here? No. Last school year, my two oldest were both the top readers in their schools, both reading at least a hundred books above the next student behind them. The people were appalled that they read that much. *headdesk*
(I'm talking my darlings read nearly 200 books each throughout the school year--Harry Potter length at the minimum. The students behind them? None read above 64 books at either school.)
And my children actually do other things than read.
Missed the poll, but...
Date: 2005-12-01 10:36 pm (UTC)Yeah! Elinor deserved better! (Not that I'm unconvinced Robert and Lucy deserved each other, mind you. (And am I the only one who ever wanted something public and embarassing to happen to Fanny?)
