An amusing story. I am on a HP discussion list and we had a round of going to the various "sorting hat" sites. Most people wanted to be in Gryfindor and ended in either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff (depends on the site).
Every single Sorting Hat site put me in Gryffindor. Oh yes, and my closest analog in the book according to one site is Hermoine Granger (90% overlap of traits, according to the site).
What was annoying was I actually wanted Hufflepuff, a I find the whole "lone hero" biz to be rather a bad idea in reality.
I always wanted Ravenclaw (GEEK HOUSE!) and that's how I test, but there was one that did percentages and I was pretty much 50/50 Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff. And I realized I didn't mind being a Huffleclaw.
Heh -- I clicked before reading the comments, and had an internal debate between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. I think it'd depend on how full each house was in your year....

Born to tilt at windmills I guess.
Sigh . . .
