I have found the most marvelous blog - The Julie/Julia Project.

This woman decided to take Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking and cook every recipe in it.

I'm into November now. Julie is learning. And Julia *rules*. But we all knew that.

Dude. I could binge on this much food writing. Not to mention that I'm a sucker for people's year-long or longer learning/new habit projects. (hence how much I'm enjoying your pakua stories, by the way.) I need to ration myself.

I'm addicted. And wishing my husband wasn't such a notoriously fussy eater... and me with a brand new Maggie Fulton, sigh.

I recently found out that Julia Child was a close friend of my grandmother. My stepmother says she remembers Julia and her husband having foodfights at her mom's dinner table, with pieces of various samples of breads that they were merrily arguing about which version was better. To me, this is just too cool for words. :)
