Blue Belt!

This is just for information. Having completed the sixteen gray belt Improvement classes, as well as twice weekly general classes and having gained the approval of both my master and the ones teaching the Improvement classes, I have attained the level of blue belt.

This is, in one sense, inevitable as I did complete the requirements, but I was genuinely worried that I wasn't ready for blue belt and that they would keep me back for some more classes, and I'd told myself I'd be fine with that.

But, as it turns out, they think I'm ready.

I now have to complete 24 blue belt improvement classes and take a seminar and complete a monography in order to attain my red belt. Maybe by next summer. As I said, we slow way down after gray belt, and that is to the good.
