My boss, the one who is tough on drunks and her employees and who has no qualms about calling the authorities about our landlord...

Has just adopted an 8-week old kitten. Two kids were selling a litter, and she bought one. When I saw her last, she was cuddling the tiny thing on her chest and was going out to get kitten supplies. While cooing at the kitten. She already has a grown cat, and her daughter's cat is currently staying with her - and they've been fighting for ten years.

And. This is what NYC is living through.
