Just saw Pirates of the Caribbean and I fell completely in love with Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow. From the first moment we saw him until the last, he stole (which is only appropriate) every single scene he was in - and my goodness. *Queen* of the Pirates.

Any good fic yet? Jack/Will, for preference, although honestly, I'm thinking Gov. Swann was the only straight man in the movie.

Check pirategasm for some decent stuff. I can't recommend "Hurricane Jack", by shrift, highly enough. *thinks* If you go to wereadshite, they can link you to "i read that", a multi-fandom recs page that just updated with some good PotC stuff as well.

E and I just saw this movie yesterday. We walked out saying, "Jack, honey, could you swish *any* swishier?" I heard a child saying, "He was wearing *way* too much makeup for a pirate!" *snicker* E and I just about collapsed laughing over that one. She said, "Oh, but that's the *point*, honey." (Not to the child, of course, just to me.)

"Hurricane Jack" is in my opinion the best piece so far, in this very young (still wet behind the ears!) fandom.
