Before Morning
Renfield rose silently, in the light of the full moon in the western window, shining its light on his lover's face.
He paused for a moment before picking up his robe just to watch.
Alex looked so young like that, so beautiful. Sometimes Renfield wondered who he would have been if they'd met when Alex was truly young, before whatever happened, happened.
But it didn't matter. He was here now, and Renfield could take care of him.
He showered and dressed. The tea shop would open in an hour and he had to get it ready for the breakfast trade.
