So, I've been doing the prescribed exercises faithfully - 30 times walking the fingers of my right hand up and down a wall - fifteen times facing the wall, fifteen at right angles to it, all the while keeping my right scapular in and down, morning and evening. It was amazingly painful both during and after, but I know that it's supposed to hurt and while I don't like pain, I'm not going to run from it. Especially if it will mean less pain down the road.

And. It's been four days, and there is less pain. The exercise still hurts, but not as much, and this morning I was able to move my right arm more easily than I have been. Of course, I've been avoiding putting my right hand above my shoulder (just try washing your hair that way!) and I switched from a shoulder bag to a backpack, so that had to help, too, and I'm using my left arm more for the same reason.

Whatever it takes - it's working. I'm glad.

I'm glad it's working, even though it's probably not working as quickly as you'd like.

Um, yah. I once had an IV port in my arm for a month, and I absolutely could not get it wet, but I didn't find anything that would keep it completely water-tight in the shower if that hand was actually involved. I learned to wash hair with one hand, and boy was a glad when the thing came out.

I'm glad it's working, even though it's probably not working as quickly as you'd like.

I've been avoiding treatment for my tendonitis for months, so any progress feels good. I was honestly expecting a couple of weeks to go by before there was any difference.

I'm doing so much more with my left hand. I can feel sympathy for my left handed mother, who'd broken her left wrist last summer. She had to learn to eat with her right hand. And I nagged her about her physical therapy, too, so I have to be good about it, don't I?

She's crocheting with her left hand again, so it worked.
