mamadebCan't call them cow-orkers 'cause they're not - I'm an employee, they're free lancers, granted desk and computer and some supplies in return for commisions. I don't work for them, and I don't work with them, but my work directly benefits them, since I answer and direct the phone calls, I assign the clients, I take care of the listings and I order the supplies, at least for the three days a week I'm there. I also manage the computer crises.
This morning...I walk in and R immediately looks up and I can see desperation in her eyes. All her IE bookmarks are *gone*. All her uploaded pictures are *gone*. What happened? What did she do?
I look at her desktop. I look at the arrangement of bookmarks and icons.
She logged on as the wrong user. The office system is XP, which allows for multiple users with multiple configurations for each desktop. In fact, ntm and I are exploiting this to the greatest extent we can on our system - it feels like we each have our own computer, albeit one that must be used seriatum. On the office system, each desktop has a user option and an admin option. R chose the admin option. I switched users, and she was sore amazed.
I then changed her desktop wallpaper from advertising Dell to a sunny beach so that she would know immediately that she logged in correctly.
*sigh* *grin*
