Whoah, am I out of the loop! You're going to cooking school? Does this mean you've quit your job? And I can't help but ask since you say there are jobs out there, do you know of any for Motcha?
I lost my job back in August - just at the time I took a week of cooking classes at a kosher cooking school in Flatbush (about the only one there is that admits women.) Being a chef is something I've wanted to do for many, many years.
The jobs out there are in restaurants, nursing homes and yeshivot as cooks. I'm sorry.
Mazal tov! When you posted about the seminar you went to, you really sounded like you enjoyed it - it's great that you are able to take it further. Is this the kosher school you took the seminar at? I would love to find out some more info about them. Brooklyn is a shlep for me, but sometimes I feel like I don't know enough basics about cooking...which is why my Shabbos repertoire consists of 5 or 6 meals.
