mamadebA couple of months ago, I posted about Whitey, and people asked me to keep them posted.
So. I've been seeing him out and about, especially in a little coffeehouse a couple of doors down from the office. He smiles at me and calls me "honey" and say he's just fine.
I just saw him in the coffeehouse, drinking orange juice and looking very thin - and with a walker. He'd just spent twelve days in the in hospital - the chemo got to him and he has no idea how he got there, but he's happy to be out. I knew he wouldn't want me to ask about the walker, so I didn't.
And he's "just fine."
