Anyone have a transcript of what George Takei said on Jimmy Kimmel? Because I'm at work and can't watch videos.

Edited to add: I'm alone here, and no prospect of company. So I watched the video. George Takei is pure awesome. Of course, I already knew that, but this is further proof.

No transcript, but to paraphrase, Takei quotes former NBA basketball player Tim Hardaway, who said"You know, I hate gay people, so I let it be known. I don't like gay people and I don't like to be around gay people. I am homophobic. I don't like it." Takei then goes on to say that gays don't hate Hardaway in return. We like him. And what shade of puce did this Hardaway nutter go?

Mind you, I once cut a chap at work down to size - he was holding forth about a gay colleague who was due to join us in a short time, saying, "He better not approach me..." and silly stuff like that.

To which I responded, without thinking, "Oh, I don't think there'll be much chance of that. I understand he likes attractive men."

Perhaps not the most tactful thing to say.
