Heroes (Spoilers)
Sep. 26th, 2006 10:51 amI liked it. I liked it a lot. I liked the explorations of superpowers in a world where they're still comic-book fare. I liked the complex threads - but I also liked that they intersect in odd place - that all of them are connected in some way. There's a...style choice there I think will work well - the alley where the brothers flew is the alley where the cabdriver/professor escaped from the evil guy. Nice choice. Nice choice in having the other brother fly, not the nurse. And that race doesn't seem to be a factor - major plus there. Very well done.
And, of course, I *LOVE* Super-Hiro. Who wouldn't?

Date: 2006-09-26 04:05 pm (UTC)How does it compare to... oh bother, neurons not firing... the show with the Huntress in it? Despite the fact that she was not the Huntress (who used to be my alltime favorite comic book character), we loved it and watched every episode.

Date: 2006-09-26 04:17 pm (UTC)Heroes is a drama with a large cast and multiple continuing storylines (like many current dramas) centering about what happens to the world and to individuals when superpowers happen. And they don't pull punches.

Date: 2006-09-26 05:05 pm (UTC)And there is till more to come. I can't wait to see the others!
And does anyone else think the Indian professor/cab driver's power will be that he can recognize the ones with the powers? And how cruel is that that the cheerleader's adopted father is the one who is trying to stop his and his father's research?
And for those who missed it, it's on again tonight on NBC at 8 PM Eastern.
