Wow. Very nicely put. That was well thought out. I loved last week's episode, for the humor of Xander's ever-bumbling ways and Anya's clumsy handling of humans; the Giles and Willow scenes, where we see Willow more grown-up than ever and Giles more himself (if I can presume) than we usually see him, and for Spike.
His part in this ep... FIrst off, he looks good. Duh. Anyway. Marster's acting is amazing. The character is living in hell, not just reaping the benefits anymore. It's always amazing when an actor can evoke such a believable wreck, total anguish and trying to deal with the consequences of denail, guilt, and desire. I hope Sarah Michelle Geller lives up to the rest of her cast: I think she's almost the weakest spot in this dynamic. Dawn vies for second.
I look forward to seeing if we can get some character development out of her, and where everything goes this season.
Elegant.
