Just an observation (and this might have been pointed out), but another sorting hat comment, and forgive me the lack of proper reference as my books are a few miles away at the moment, was that when they were claiming their students, Helga was heard to say "I'll take the rest, and teach them all the same."
To me, this describes much of Dumbledore put the most importance on. Hufflepuff was all about sticking together and treating everyone fairly.
