When, if ever, did you start liking olives?
I was a teenager, but I can't say exactly when.

When, if ever, did you start liking beer?
Since I had my first homebrew, about 15 years ago.

When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish?
I miss shellfish. :) I don't remember not liking them.

What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make?
Everything. Mom's a great cook. One thing? Sweet and sour meatballs.

I live in NYC. :)

Chicken pot pie.

Breakfast sandwich of eggs, cheese and veggie sausage.

Hot deli meat with onions and mustard on a whole wheat baguette.

Thin crust, sauce, cheese, onions, black olives and mushrooms.

What's your ideal pie (sweet or savory)?
Chicken pot pie.

What's your ideal salad?
Spring greens, pecans, dried cherries, grape tomatoes, pears and blue cheese in a balsamic/olive oil vinaigrette made right in the bowl.

What food do you always like to have in the fridge?
Eggs, mayo, ketchup. Fridge is otherwise temporary storage prior to or right after cooking.

What food do you always like to have in the freezer?
Ground meat made into patties, chicken breast filet, tofu pops, frozen pizza, frozen pot pies, frozen veggies.

What food do you always like to have in the cupboard?
Rice. Beans. Pasta. Oils. Vinegars. Soy sauce and sesame oil. Spices.

What spices can you not live without?
Black pepper. Curry. Oregano. Garlic.

What sauces can you not live without?
Soy sauce

Where do you buy most of your food?
Various kosher supermarkets.

How often do you go food shopping?
Two - three times a week.

What's the most you've spent on a single food item?

$40 for a brisket.

What's the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment you own (excluding 'white goods')?
Microwave.

Coffee urn.

I always cook from raw ingredients.

Tofu with green beans and portobello mushroom stirfry.
