Saw a large part of it - will watch the streaming video because I didn't record the first half hour.

But what's really amusing me? How many people are reading the books of Samuel, or intend to do so - and NOT for religious reasons. In fact, for just about the opposite.

(I didn't post my purim torah this year, and now the moment is past. I'll try to remember next Purim.)

Shabbos

I had an especially fun and different Shabbat this past week.

This took us to the end of Shabbat, when we had to let her go home. But I suspect she'll be back.

Follow up to Poll Post

In regards to my poll here:

I need to do a couple of graphs, but I'm seeing two different correlations. I suspected one - it's a strong, but not universal, Jewish custom to have n+1 candles on a birthday cake. This makes sense because there are similar customs. Example - people will choose a psalm to say themselves or for another person using that system - my psalm this year would be Psalm 46.

The other was just interesting - I'm noting a strong correlation for the Northeast, even for people who are NOT Jewish.

These need graphing.
