Oh,my goodness
Dec. 30th, 2007 11:08 amI rented a car today because we have to pay a shiva call (and then visit friends) in Monsey.
There was ONE car available in my usual car rental place.
My preference is for Japanese-make mid-sized sedans. I love Camrys. But, of course, I took what I could get.
So my automobile du jour? Is a Chrysler 300. It's HUGE. It's not the biggest car I've driven - my folks liked big cars, so they owned a Mercury Cougar station wagon when I was in high school and college, and a Buick Roadmaster right after I got married. Plus I've driven a Chevy Impala and I borrowed a friend's suv once.
But it is still huge. And shiny. And I had to *reach* to adjust the rear view mirror, and I'm not confident of knowing the size well enough to parallel park between cars yet. And we still need to fill the tank. Which will also be huge.
I'm going to be *sailing* to Monsey.
