My nose is a faucet, but I'm mostly (no scarf yet) dressed, and the presents are wrapped. Not very well, but they are wrapped. Except for the knitting needles I'm giving my sister-in-law, which are going in a recycled Purim bag. A very *pretty* bag with nothing of the Purim around it. Also, Jonathan found some very pretty Chanukah themed to-froms that came with foam tape already applied. And I found a calligraphic marker, so the handwriting is legible. Wins all around. Mostly, we're giving books and Giant Microbes, but the three little ones are getting toys. The Giant Microbes are joke gifts - Jackie works with wetlands, so she's getting algae, and Herbie had Lyme Disease, so he's getting it in stuffed form.

As soon as we are dressed, we're off to the subway with our dozen or so packages, plus a box of blue-and-white cookies.

This year, what with the runny nose and all, I sort of plan to hole up someplace with my knitting and tissues, but I will watch the kids tear up their wrapping paper.
