Shavuot Menus
May. 17th, 2007 02:16 pmI'm not really that organized, but Shavuot is Tuesday night, and I'm working that day.
Operative word for Shavuot is "Dairy". Also, fast and easily prepared.
Tuesday night:
Pasta tossed with ricotta cheese, garlic, olive oil, sundried tomatoes and scallions
Salad
Challah
White wine
coffee (for all night learning.)
Wednesday Lunch (after Jonathan wakes up)
Cheese omelets
Fruit salad
Green salad
Challah rolls toasted with butter
White wine
Coffee (it's breakfast, after all)
Wednesday dinner - the only meat meal
Sauted chicken filet
Steamed green beans
Baked sweet potato rounds
Green salad
Challah
Thursday Lunch (with brother-in-law and family)
Cold baked salmon filet with yogurt-dill sauce
Pasta salad
Green salad
Cheese cake
Challah
Juice for Zoe, wine for adults
The salmon will be purchased on Monday and cooked that night. The pasta salad and the cheesecake will be purchased. Everything else is better made fresh, and cooks fast.
Second day meals (dinenr and lunch) can be reversed if necessary.
