The snow...
Feb. 17th, 2003 09:15 amis above my knees. I went out just to see if I could get to work - my boss said it was entirely up to me, and
jonbaker didn't want me to go at all.
We open the door. We cannot see the three steps that are my front stoop and the snow has drifted such that it nearly covers one garbage can. The streets have not been shoveled.
He walks into the snow. In his sneakers. It's up to his knees. He's eight inches taller than I am. I'm dressed for the weather, but dressed for the weather for me is a below the knee skirt over leggings and tights and with snowboots. My snowboots are ankle high. My coat is about ankle length. I stood in the doorway.
I went back upstairs and called the office.
