*Sigh*

Last night, I lost my wallet. I don't know where it could have happened.

I left work and went to my local comic book shop. Bought a couple of Starman trade paper backs - btw, I highly recommend Starman. I'll go into why later. Wanted to get a long box, but they were out.

Then I left and waited for the bus for a long time. Changed once and stopped at a restaurant I like. During the bus ride, all I read was the Starman, so I never opened my purse. I keep my MetroCard, my "bus pass", if you will, in a little card case in a front pocket. Same at the restaurant. The only time I opened my purse was to find a prayer book so I could say the grace after meals.

Then I went to find my wallet to pay the check. I could not find it. I searched and searched and nothing. Thank goodness, the place accepted checks and I had my checkbook with me. I called the comic book store, but they couldn't find it.

I took a bus back because I had a synagogue board meeting, and borrowed money to take a car home, although it turned out I didn't need it, as the friend rode the bus home with me. I gave him the money back, of course.

This morning, I went to the comic book shop again, but they hadn't found it. I called my husband to cancel the one credit card we share - we have three. One his, one mine, one ours. I'll take care of mine tonight.

I'm going to call the restaurant again, but I don't have much hope.
