Oct. 5th, 2003 01:02 pmTonight is Yom Kippur.
I have to make the pre fast dinner, and the post fast dinner.
And we need to build the succah.
And I'm on the fourth day of a rotton cold.
At least I'm breathing better.

I've got some wonderful braised eggplant, and I plan to turn my somewhat mushy lentils and rice into flavourful patties to serve under the eggplant (a middle eastern version of polenta, I hope). Post fast is easy because the shul puts on a community break the fast. As a member of the house committee, I get to eat early, so that I can get to the job of breaking down the sanctuary for easy return to our regularly scheduled home for services.
