My position just crystallized.

I *hate* the man who stole our White House. I hate his posturing, I hate his need to prove his manhood, I hate what he's doing to our economy and to our fighting forces.

I hate that we struck first when there was no threat at all to us.

I hate the man who has turned us into "foreign aggressors" and made me ashamed of this country.

I'm finding that hate takes a ton of energy as well. I'm exhausted. Maybe we can help each other not hate so much?

In AA they kept telling me to pray for someone I couldn't stand. I'm not sure there's an appropriate blessing for this, but man do I need it.

What tipped me over the edge? In the past, the US has at least made a *pretense* of returning fire. This was an out and out first strike.

This turns us into the bully the world perceives us as.

That he actually seems to think he's working for God makes it all worse. Surely this can't be the same God who said "Turn the other cheek" and "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and "Love thy neighbor as thyself"?

No, this is the god who speaks aparently, only to G.W. Bush.. *rolls eyes*
